Dear visitors,
Ju-Jitsu is the most wide-ranging of all martial arts. Its governing body is the European union JJEU, which in turn is a member of the official international federation – the JJIF – and recognized by the official international sports organizations.
Ju-Jitsu as a competitive sport has three main pillars – Fighting as the classic duel with a specified system of rules, DUO (Duo System) as a technical show combat for a pair of fighters, and Ground Fighting, also known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
Ju-Jitsu, originated in Japan, is Japanese for „gentle art“. Sometimes spelled Ju-Jutsu or Jiu-Jitsu, it is popular in many countries all around the world – the spelling may differ, but the sport remains the same. The international federation’s official spelling, however, is Ju-Jitsu. Ju-Jitsu uses punches and straight punches with hands and fists as well as kicking techniques with feet and knees. Attackers can also be defeated by throws and levers. Pinning techniques (Osae Komi) and choke techniques are part of the routine as well, as are pressure point techniques.
In self-defence, psychological aspects are just as important as the application of self-defence techniques in accordance with the rules. Ju-Jitsu includes training with cut and thrust weapons as well as learning how to parry attacks with such weapons.
Its wide variety of self-defence techniques makes Ju-Jitsu perfect sport for various target groups. It is the perfect way of self-defence for police and security training, but also for people who want to practise it as a hobby. Regardless of age, gender and physical condition – Ju-Jitsu has a technique for everyone.
Safety and health are the cornerstones of Ju-Jitsu.
We are the place to go for national Ju-Jitsu, Ju-Jutsu and Jiu-Jitsu associations.
