Advance notice JJEU Summer training camp

Dear friends,

2019 is only 7 weeks old, but JJEU and their National Federations are allready planning many nice JuJitsu events for the whole year 2019.

One of the events I like to appoint to you all is the JJEU Summer Training camp 2019 which this year will be organized in co operation with the Hungarian Sport Ju-jitsu Federation.

At one of the nicest places in Hungary we found a amazing sport at the Balaton Lake. So be sure that you get your spot, there are only 160 availeble, at this amazing event. For now we allready have attendency of the next excellent teachers: Jimmy Wouters, Belgium, one of the Top Fighting teachers, Michael Korn, JJEU Vice President and head of JJIF development of DUO but also a JuJItsu teacher with great knowledge of DUO and selfdefence, Jeffrey Bok, a Dutch JiuJitsu Fighting trainer but also a great Judo teacher, Ákos Szekeres (black belt BJJ), Hungary – Ne waza JiuJitsu and Levente Varga (black belt BJJ), Hungary – Ne waza JiuJitsu.

During the coming months we will surprise you all with some more interesting and amazing names.

So don’t wait to long and extend your Summer holiday with a training camp in Hungary.

Edition 2018 was allready a great succes, but edition 2019 seems to be even better and more spectaculair. The Local Organizers are busy in the preparation of this edition, and are happy to invite everybody to join the DUO games in Medemblik the Netherlands.

Kodokan Open 2019 Germany very succesfull.

On February 9th and 10th 2019 326 Ju-Jitsu athletes from eleven nations travelled to Norderstedt near Hamburg in Nothern Germany to compete in International Kodokan Open 2019.

They started in the Ju-Jitsu categories Fighting, Ne-Waza and Duo Classic in the age divisions Adults, U21, U18, U16, U14 and U12. The award for the best club won the hosts from Kodokan Norderstedt with nine gold medals followed by Den Edel Gouda NL from the Netherlands and 1. Ju-Jutsu-Verein Bernau from Germany with both six gold medals. The best nation (other than Germany) were the Netherlands, ahead of the athletes from Denmark, Belgium, Austria and Sweden.

There were also competitors from Switzerland, Slovenia, France, Bulgaria and Singapore.
For the first time the International Kodokan Open were held as a "JJEU supported event" and organized in cooperation with the Ju-Jitsu European Union. Many clubs and nations used the tournament in the Moorbehalle Norderstedt to see where they stand with their athletes at the beginning of the competition year.
Many thanks to all athletes and coaches for joining, to the referees, to the medical team and the volunteer helpers.
